The dress comes with two options for the length: calf-length or ankle-length. You can even choose to add a ruffle at the bottom.

Depending on the fabric you choose, you can create the perfect dress for a day at the beach or as evening wear!

If you’re headed to the beach, wear the dress over your swimsuit with flat sandals and a straw bag.

For the evening, accessorize the dress with some pretty wrist bracelets, high heels, and a clutch purse!

Charlène dress - PDF Pattern

Immediately after your order, you will receive a zip file containing the instruction booklet in PDF format, the pattern sheet in A4 and A0 formats.
For the Charlene dress, I would recommend using lightweight fabrics like linen, viscose linen, double gauze, cotton voile, viscose etc.

If your fabric is see-through, I strongly suggest sewing the lined version of the dress.

Choose a lighter fabric for the lining. For instance, I choose viscose linen for the fabric and cotton poplin for the lining.

If you’re new to sewing, linen or cotton voile would be the easiest fabrics to work with.

Stick to your usual size for the Charlene dress.

I am wearing a size S/M and my measurements are

35 ½ -27 ½ -37 (in)

[90-70-94 (cm)].

The dress was designed to fit my size and measurements. I am 5’6 [168cm] and the dress falls about 2” [5cm] above the anklebone. Feel free to add extra length if you prefer a really long dress!

Print only page 1 of the pattern at first. Make sure to scale to 100%. Double check the 1.97” x 1.97” test square [5cm x 5cm] on the printed page.

If the scale is accurate, proceed with printing the remaining pages of the pattern. Piece your pattern together by putting the pages in numerical order and matching up the grey circles on the pages. You can choose to either trim or fold the edges.
